Looking back...and looking ahead

Dear Omnimusic customers, friends, composers and fans,

Before the year comes to an end, Patti and I want to send our best wishes and thanks to all of you who helped make 2017 a successful and memorable year for Omni!

To our friends at WQED in Pittsburgh who inspired our "ScoreTrack" (OMN 240) disc. Not only has this music been immensely popular with our clients, but we've used it ourselves in numerous podcasts and short videos for our own non-profit, Grassroots Environmental Education.

To our dear friend and Omni composer Josh Heineman, who stepped up to the plate with his amazing disc “Ultra Cool” (OMN 242) that bridges funk, fusion and techy new age. From the very first demos, we knew this was going to be a cool project.

To our new friend from Romania, composer Allen Constantine, whose powerful and soaring music helped inspire a whole disc of emotionally uplifting tracks “Aspire” (LAE 16).

To the phenomenally talented composers of the CDM and ArtSound libraries, who always seem to come up with discs like "Rising" (CDM 59) that blend technology and sensitivity to create unique tracks that make great videos.

To the new and veteran songwriters and recording artists who contributed their tracks this year to our new vocal library Set List. If you haven't had a chance to enjoy Matt Cusson, Eden White, Breanna Lynn or any of the other many talented artists who call Set List home for licensing, click on over and have a listen.

And a tremendous and sincere thank you to our amazing staff - Dave Hab who oversees production, editing, titling and all manner of other music details, Shawn Green who can fix just about any tech problem in or out of the studio, Allison Straub who handles our contracts and renewals, Ray Mills and Mike DeSabato who run our sales department, Christine Frankel who keeps the books in order, and Sal Ciulla who manages our social media.

We have great plans for 2018: watch for our new Omni disc "Momentum" out in a few weeks, along with new releases from CDM, Flash•Point, LA Edition, Blue Dot and Crush!

Wishing you all a very healthy, happy and successful new year in 2018.

Patti & Doug Wood
